Val Duron MTB Tour

This tour is made for bikers who like a nice uphill tour. The first ascent through the Jender Valley gives a first idea of what this tour will present. The first part of the Jender Valley road is on asphalt, but after a wile the road changes in a gravel road which leads to Saltria on the Alp of Siusi. At the famous Tirler Hut we stop the forst time for a short break. The street continues on gravel, still uphill and ends in a small tenical path which leads us to the Chapel at the Dialer. From here we do have the last uphill part of about 500 meters to arrive on the Duron Pass. Now it’s time to put on a jacket for the downhill passage on the gravel road. It’s unbelievable that the athletes of the Südtirol Sellaronda HERO race do this part of the road as an uphill passage of the race. This downhill part requires concentration and coordination. Now it’s time for a good energetic and typical Trentino lunch: Polenta (Semolina porridge) with cheese and mushrooms, which is listet on the menu of almost all traditional Trentino huts.

After lunch the ride continues downhill towards Campitello and from there with the cablecar of Col Rodella to the mountain abowe the Sella Pass. A gravel road leads us to the Passo Sella and on the way to Val Gardena we do have some nice downhill single trail left to do.
